“Schon in der Gegenwart zeigt sich, dass einzelne Herausforderungen wie Digitalisierung, Finanzkrisen, Klimawandel oder Pandemien ein doch eigentlich etabliertes Wirtschaftssystem durchrütteln können. […] „Disruptionen bieten immer auch Chancen“, sagt Rockenbach. […] „Wir müssen schauen, dass wir das Beste aus der alten und der aktuellen Situation zusammenführen, um damit dann voranzuschreiten. Disruption kann also auch ein willkommener und erholsamer Schock für eine neue Entwicklung sein.“ […] Doch sie birgt auch Gefahren. […] Rockenbach fordert daher, nicht nur auf technologische Möglichkeiten und Errungenschaften zu blicken, sondern auch ihre Auswirkungen gesellschaftswissenschaftlich und ethisch zu analysieren. Andernfalls drohe, dass Menschen abgehängt werden.”
