In 2020 Paul R. Milgrom and Robert B. Wilson received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for the development of new auction designs. Auctions are omnipresent in today’s economy, e.g. at the electricity market or the stock exchange. The 3sat documentary provides deeper insights in this topic.
