Far away? No thanks! How reduced mobility affects women’s careers – (German) Lecture by Barbara Boelmann

If women are in a committed relationship, they move less often for their job than men and commute shorter distances. Does this lower mobility affect their careers? In her lecture as part of the Diversity Week at the University of Cologne, Barbara Boelmann uses scientific studies to show how mobility decisions have influenced women’s career paths since World War 2. The Diversity Week is organised by the Prorectorate for Academic Careers and Equal Opportunities and the Gender & Diversity Management Unit.
