The prize is awarded by the Roman Herzog Institute for outstanding dissertations and habilitations investigating current topics in this field. In his work &#8220;Empirical Studies in Personnel and Media Economics&#8221;, Heinz used different empirical research methods to investigate the reasons for massive downsizing, its economic effects and impact on employees and the media.
