[\u2026] \u201cI think we live in a time where there is a lot of emphasis on \u2018strong\u2019 opinions and people who are very \u2018certain\u2019 about their stances, leading to division and polarization,\u201d said study author Iris K. Schneider, a professor of social and economic cognition at the University of Cologne. [\u2026] In four studies, Schneider and her colleagues examined the relationship between ambivalence and two cognitive biases.
